Suttons Bay is the gateway to Leelanau County and lies midway up the eastern shore of Leelanau Peninsula.  This year ‘round coastal village has a quality all its’ own…specialty shops, galleries, unique dining experiences, b&b’s and historic inns make this place a truly ‘walkable village’.  Marina Park is an ideal spot for a family day at the beach.  The schoolship schooner, Inland Seas, is docked on the south side of the marina.  With hiking trails at Bahle Park and the TART trail on the edge of town, you can bike, hike or run to your hearts’ content.  Surrounded by rolling vineyards you will find yourself in the heart of Michigan wine country.

    The Monster Event

    A bicycle hill climb challenge! This competition for all skill levels, will happen snow, ice or shine and is sure to thrill both riders and spectators. This will kick start the day's scheduled events, which can be found above on the events page.

  • Suttons Bay Floatilla was a huge success, even though a new world record was not set!
    Over 2012 Labor Day weekend Suttons Bay hosted an exciting event hoping to break the Guinness World Book record for canoes and kayaks rafted together. 1,750 kayaks and canoes participated raising funds to help Suttons Bay Public Schools.
    If you missed participating in this benefit event or want to partake again the Suttons Bay Floatilla 2 will be Saturday, August 31, 2013.
