Suttons Bay is among the 307 Red Hot Bestof Northern Michiganafter 10,000 people voted.

Suttons Bay is one of the top 3 in the category Small Town Shopping Districts and the winner will be announced the end of May.

A bicycle hill climb challenge! This competition for all skill levels, will happen snow, ice or shine and is sure to thrill both riders and spectators. This will kick start the day's scheduled events, which can be found above on the events page.

Holiday Festival Weekend in Suttons Bay

Friday November 30 -
Holiday Stroll 5 - 8 PM Luminaria lined streets add a festive flair.

Saturday December 1 -
Family Day Children's Activities at ISEA 2 - 4:30 (Hands on Science Experiments, Making Holiday cards for residents at TenderCare, Library will be on hand for story-telling )
Family Movie Day at 1:00 at the Bay Theatre showing The Secret World of Arrietty
Santa Arrives by Firetruck for tree lighting at 5:00 PM on the corner of Jefferson and M-22
Visit with Santa at the Village Inn after helping him light the big Village Christmas Tree

Sunday December 2 -
Antlers & Elves from 12-3, Cookie Extravaganza from 1 -4 at the Friendship Center, Community Concert At Congegational Church 3 PM

Suttons Bay Floatilla


Suttons Bay Floatilla was a huge success, even though a new world record was not set!
Over 2012 Labor Day weekend Suttons Bay hosted an exciting event hoping to break the Guinness World Book record for canoes and kayaks rafted together. 1,750 kayaks and canoes participated raising funds to help Suttons Bay Public Schools.
If you missed participating in this benefit event or want to partake again the Suttons Bay Floatilla 2 will be Saturday, August 31, 2013.
